About Venn Chiropractic and Wellness Center

Chiropractic Care in Frisco Since 2000

“I opened Venn Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Frisco in 2000 because I wanted to build a practice where I could take the time to understand each patient, provide precise chiropractic care, and continually expand what we could offer as patients’ needs changed.” — Dr. Jason Venn

For more than 25 years, Venn Chiropractic and Wellness Center has served individuals and families in Frisco with an approach centered on careful evaluation, individualized treatment, and helping patients understand their condition.

Led by Dr. Jason Venn, our practice is especially known for Gonstead chiropractic, a detailed approach Dr. Venn has studied extensively throughout his career. Over the years, the practice has also incorporated spinal decompression, spinal rehabilitation, massage therapy, and other services when they may complement a patient’s care.

Just as importantly, we want our office to feel comfortable and personal. Patients should feel welcome asking questions, discussing their concerns, and understanding why a particular treatment is—or isn’t—being recommended.

A Team That Knows Our Patients

Our team believes the patient experience matters just as much as the clinical process. We want patients to feel known, comfortable asking questions, and confident that the people helping them genuinely care about their progress.

Many of our patients have been with the practice for years, and those relationships are an important part of the culture at Venn Chiropractic and Wellness Center. Our goal is to provide the personal attention of a small practice while continuing to improve the services and clinical approach we can offer our patients.

More Than 25 Years of Learning and Refining Our Approach

Dr. Venn’s approach today is the result of more than 25 years of treating patients, continuing education, and refining how he evaluates and manages musculoskeletal conditions.

His primary chiropractic technique is Gonstead chiropractic, which emphasizes detailed examination and specific adjustments rather than routinely treating the same areas of the spine at every visit. Dr. Venn has pursued extensive additional training in Gonstead throughout his career and has also taught the technique to chiropractic students and doctors.

Over time, he has expanded the practice beyond chiropractic adjustments to include additional options such as spinal decompression and rehabilitation when they may be appropriate. That allows treatment recommendations to be based on what Dr. Venn finds during the evaluation rather than assuming that every patient needs the same type of care.

When a patient’s condition falls outside the appropriate scope of care at our office, we believe the right decision is to refer or recommend additional medical evaluation rather than treating something we shouldn’t.

Our approach begins with understanding the patient rather than assuming that every person with a similar symptom needs the same treatment.

Dr. Venn evaluates the patient’s history, symptoms, examination findings, and, when clinically appropriate, imaging to determine what may be contributing to the problem and whether chiropractic care is appropriate.

When chiropractic care is recommended, the goal is to be specific about where and how an adjustment is performed. Other services may be incorporated when appropriate, and treatment recommendations can change based on how the patient responds over time.

We believe good care also means recognizing when chiropractic treatment isn’t appropriate and when additional medical evaluation or referral is needed.

Dr. Venn’s use of Gonstead chiropractic is one of the primary ways our approach differs from generalized spinal manipulation. The Gonstead system emphasizes examination and specificity in determining which areas of the spine should be addressed.

Rather than routinely adjusting multiple areas at every visit, Dr. Venn uses his findings to determine where an adjustment may be appropriate and which areas should be left alone.

That same individualized approach applies beyond the adjustment. Depending on the patient’s condition and goals, care may include chiropractic treatment, spinal decompression, rehabilitation, or recommendations for exercise and other supportive strategies.

Not every patient responds at the same rate, and no treatment can guarantee a particular result. Progress is monitored throughout care so recommendations can be modified when appropriate.

Chiropractic techniques can differ considerably in how an adjustment is delivered. Dr. Venn has chosen to focus extensively on the Gonstead system because of its emphasis on examination, specificity, and adjusting selected areas rather than routinely manipulating the entire spine.

Gonstead adjustments are performed without relying on the rotational twisting commonly associated with some forms of spinal manipulation. The exact approach is selected according to the area being treated and the individual patient.

Dr. Venn began studying Gonstead while attending chiropractic school and has continued developing his skills throughout his career through hundreds of hours of additional training. He has also taught Gonstead technique to chiropractic students and doctors.

After more than 25 years in practice, Dr. Venn continues to study and refine his technique rather than assuming there is nothing left to learn.
