Meet Dr. Jason Venn
Called to Heal, Committed to Serve
I’m Dr. Jason Venn, a chiropractor in Frisco, Texas and the founder of Venn Chiropractic and Wellness Center. With more than 25 years of clinical experience, I focus on helping patients suffering from herniated discs, bulging discs, sciatica, chronic back pain, neck pain, sports injuries, and mobility limitations.
My approach is centered on precise Gonstead chiropractic care and individualized treatment plans designed to address the root cause of the problem—not just the symptoms. The Gonstead method is known for its precision and ability to restore proper spinal alignment and nerve function through targeted, specific adjustments.
I regularly work with patients dealing with disc injuries and nerve-related conditions, using advanced strategies such as spinal decompression, posture correction, and mobility restoration. My goal is to help patients restore function, reduce nerve pressure, and avoid unnecessary medications or surgery whenever possible.
Everything I do is focused on identifying the exact source of dysfunction and helping patients achieve long-term improvement—not temporary relief.
Many of the patients I see in our office come in with nerve-related symptoms such as pain, numbness, or weakness — most often caused by underlying disc issues. These are the types of conditions I work with every day, often helping patients who have tried other treatments without success.
My Clinical Approach
I focus on identifying and correcting the root cause of spinal and nerve-related conditions rather than simply masking symptoms.
My approach combines:
- Precise Gonstead chiropractic analysis and adjustments
- Spinal decompression therapy for disc-related conditions
- Detailed evaluation to determine the exact source of the problem
- Individualized care plans based on each patient’s condition
- Mobility restoration to improve long-term function and stability
Many of the cases I see involve chronic conditions that have not responded to other treatments, which is why a precise, root-cause approach is so important. At our office, I regularly work with patients dealing with disc injuries and nerve-related conditions, using a structured and results-driven approach to help restore movement and reduce nerve pressure.

My Passion for Healing Started with a Personal Story
From the time I was a few months old, I struggled with chronic sinus and ear infections. This went on for years, with a new infection popping up every few months. This cycle of illness didn’t stop until I received my very first chiropractic adjustment at age 18. I’ve been free of sinus and ear infections ever since.
Why I Became a Chiropractor
My experience led me to a simple truth: the body has an incredible ability to heal itself when given the chance. That’s what sparked my lifelong desire to become a doctor—a different kind of doctor. As a kid, I used to say I wanted to be a “doctor of muscles” because I knew I wanted to help people without relying on medication or surgery.
When I discovered what chiropractic care was, I knew I had found my calling. I realized I could fulfil my passion for helping people by finding and correcting the underlying cause of their pain and illness. Being a chiropractor isn’t just my job—it’s who I am.
This Is More Than Chiropractic — It’s My Life’s Purpose
Before we go any further, I want you to know this: I don’t take your trust lightly.
Chiropractic isn’t something I “do” and clock out from; it’s work I feel called to. Being a chiropractor is not simply my profession—it’s my purpose. From the moment I discovered the power of the human nervous system and the body’s incredible ability to heal, I knew my life would be dedicated to helping people restore what pain, stress, trauma, and time have taken from them.
What motivates me most is seeing people regain hope and momentum, especially after they’ve felt dismissed elsewhere.
My Commitment to Being the Best Chiropractor for You:
After earning my Bachelor of Science in Anatomy from the University of Texas at Arlington, I went on to receive my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker University. My education gave me a strong foundation in anatomy, neurology, biomechanics, diagnosis, and patient care, but I believe learning never stops. Throughout my career, I have continued to pursue advanced education with a special focus on the Gonstead System, spinal biomechanics, and the treatment of complex disc and nerve-related conditions. Even after more than 25 years in practice, I remain committed to continually refining my skills so I can provide the highest level of care to every patient.
Education & Advanced Training
After graduation, I knew I wanted to master the Gonstead System rather than simply practice it. I completed a postgraduate externship under Gonstead Diplomate Dr. Jose Lara in Phoenix, Arizona, where I received advanced hands-on training in the Gonstead technique.
That commitment to learning has continued throughout my entire career. Over the past 25+ years, I have completed thousands of hours of additional Gonstead education, continually refining my skills in spinal analysis, biomechanical evaluation, and the treatment of complex disc and nerve-related conditions.
For nearly 30 years, I have been an active member of the Gonstead Clinical Studies Society, participating in ongoing education and collaboration with other chiropractors dedicated to clinical excellence.
Earlier in my career, I was honored to be featured in an article titled “The Doctor of Last Resort,” recognizing my work with patients who had exhausted other treatment options before finding relief through chiropractic care. While that recognition was meaningful, my greatest accomplishment continues to be helping patients regain their health and improve their quality of life.
For more than two decades, patients from across North Texas have sought my care after exhausting other treatment options, trusting my experience with complex spinal and disc-related conditions.
Even after more than 25 years in practice, I continue to attend advanced training and study the latest developments in Gonstead chiropractic because I believe my patients deserve the highest level of care I can provide.
The Gonstead Difference: A Defining Moment:
I think the defining moment in my chiropractic education was when I received my first GONSTEAD adjustment. I was struggling with the idea of the most common technique being a very general manipulation that did not require much skill in determining what to adjust. In addition, while I did get good results with this general manipulation as a patient, I still dealt with spinal issues that didn’t seem to go away completely. The moment I received my first Gonstead adjustment, I knew this is what I had to do. Not only was it extremely specific and precise at adjusting the correct bone in the exact direction needed, it also finally corrected the nagging spinal issues that I had been dealing with. This difference between Gonstead and the general manipulation was like night and day with Gonstead being light years ahead of the typical treatment. I had found my niche!

As a certified Gonstead specialist, I have dedicated my entire career to mastering this precise technique. For the past 25 years, I have been treating and specializing in herniated discs from the very beginning of my practice. This extensive experience has allowed me to refine my approach and achieve exceptional results for patients dealing with even the most challenging disc conditions. If you’re in search of a Gonstead chiropractor with proven expertise in herniated disc treatment, I’m here to help.
I am in this profession because of my intense desire to help people. I truly believe that everyone on the planet should be regularly checked by a Gonstead Chiropractor. My job is not only to adjust the spine, but to find the cause of what makes my patients ill, no matter what that might be. I am extremely passionate about the need for everyone to get adjusted. I and all of my family get regular Chiropractic check-ups. My dog has been adjusted, and of course, Caden and Grayson both have received many adjustments and get checked weekly. Both of my boys were checked and adjusted on the first day of their lives. They are now some of the healthiest kids I know! My goal is to help everyone reach their maximum potential through chiropractic care and education!
While symptom relief is very important and we are very good at relieving symptoms, the focus is always on improving someone’s health. Since you can have zero symptoms and still have many things wrong with your health. I use medical intuition in addition to the traditional chiropractic and alternative medicine protocols to determine someone’s need for care. When I recommend care for a patient, it is NEVER based only on their symptoms. Instead, it is based primarily on the current health of their body while still keeping their symptoms in mind. Of course, as their health improves, so do their symptoms.

All of my treatment plans are completely based on the specific patient. I do not have a generic treatment plan that I try to force on every individual. Since every person is unique, I treat them as such. Unfortunately, I often times get very difficult cases that have had problems developing for most of their lives so it may take some time to get them better. BUT, as long as we get the required time, I am very optimistic in seeing healing finally take place. I believe every patient deserves a thorough evaluation and a treatment plan tailored to their individual needs. While every case is different, my goal is always to help patients achieve the best outcome possible. You just have to remember that it took a lifetime to get into this position so it will take time to get out of it. The patients who get the best results are usually the ones who are open to healing from multiple types of treatments. Some people are extremely deficient in certain nutrients, for example, and therefore are very difficult to help unless they take a supplement along with their adjustment regimen. There might be a specific exercise that needs to be performed so that the adjustment will hold. There could be underlying emotional trauma that needs to be addressed with NET, Neuro Emotional Technique, in order for them to see the improvements in their physical body. In addition to my clinical examination and years of experience, I believe God has blessed me with a gift of medical intuition that helps guide my understanding of each patient’s unique situation. While every recommendation is grounded in a thorough evaluation, I believe this perspective allows me to provide even more individualized care.
I literally see miracles happen every single day! If a person could just come sit in my practice for just one full day, they would never question the need for Chiropractic again! I absolutely love being a chiropractor! Watching my patients feel good again and improving their lives is the most satisfying thing I get from practice. Patients often joke about how excited I get when an adjustment goes really well. It’s true! After being in practice this long, I still get excited after every great adjustment! I think they think I like to hear the noise but the truth is I get excited because I know the power of the adjustment. I understand the depth of healing that will take place as a result of that adjustment. I approach every adjustment knowing it has the potential to make a meaningful difference in someone’s health and quality of life.
Our mission at Venn Chiropractic and Wellness Center is to touch as many lives as possible in order to allow the human spirit inside every human being to fully express itself perfectly. Our goal is to provide the highest quality Gonstead Chiropractic care focused on improving spinal function, supporting nervous system health, and helping patients achieve their highest level of wellness. We are dedicated to not only educating our patients but ourselves as well, for when we stop learning, someone else suffers.
In this office, we accept nothing less than perfection, always keeping in our mind’s eye the perfect adjustment with the perfect treatment to attain perfect health. By understanding that perfection is an ideal, we know it is something to always strive for while never being able to fully grasp it. It is this constant striving for the ideal of perfection that gives us the confidence and our patients the comfort that we are giving them the best Gonstead Chiropractic care possible.
I am married to the most amazing woman I’ve ever met, Rachel. We have two rowdy boys. Caden is 13 and loves playing football and soccer. He is passionate about sports and is motivated to be the best he can. His goal is to play in the NFL. Grayson is 11 and keeps us laughing constantly. He also has big dreams of being a quarterback for the University of Texas and eventually making it to the NFL. We know these are big dreams, but we want them to dream big and support them all the way. We have one dog—a mix of Golden Retriever and Border Collie named Rocky. Family is extremely important to me, as is Faith. All else in my life simply revolves around them. I am a devout Christian so God always comes first in my life. With all the many goals I have, being a man of God is #1.
Outside of practice, I love staying as active as possible. I am a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I enjoy lifting weights 3 days a week, always trying to get a little better with age. While I do have goals, I look at my workouts as a lifestyle that will never end. I may not be the best or most genetically gifted, but I never quit. I was blessed to have a father instil this work ethic in me, and I strive to give the same to my boys. My other current calling is as a Coach. I have been coaching both of my boys in soccer, football, basketball and jiu jitsu since they were 3. I have a huge passion for helping kids grow into good young men on and off the field. I am constantly trying to instil in all the players strong Christian values while also striving to be the best version of themselves. Passing on what was given to me as a young man is so important to me and really gives me meaning in my life. I pray to always lead by example and look forward to the great things my players will do in the future.
Rachel and I are very active and love taking long walks to the park with the boys and Aspen. We both eat a very strict, healthy diet during the week, so we look forward to our “cheat” meal on the weekend. This is often times the highlight of the week! As funny as our friends think it is, we are serious about our cheat meal! Rachel thinks it’s crazy that I had not had a doughnut in more than 10 years when I met her. I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, but don’t really follow football in general. I was on a boxing team for several years in college, so I still try to catch all the major fights. I love watching the UFC as well. I was a competitive powerlifter for several years in my 30’s but decided to stop competing as a result of an injury. In essence, health, wellness and an active lifestyle are extremely important for my family and me. I live the exact lifestyle that I preach, striving for ultimate health every day of my life.
My Promise to Every Patient
One promise I make to every patient is this: you will never be dismissed here.
If something doesn’t add up, we dig deeper. If your plan isn’t working the way we expected, we adjust. And if something falls outside my scope, I’ll help guide you toward the right next step. Your health deserves more than rushed appointments or generic recommendations.
I am constantly researching, learning, and refining how I serve my patients because healing is never a one-size-fits-all process—and I refuse to treat it that way.
My Philosophy of Care
Over the years, I’ve learned that lasting health rarely comes from treating symptoms alone. While pain is often what brings someone into my office, it’s not always the true problem.
I believe the body functions as an integrated system. The nervous system, spine, muscles, joints, posture, movement, lifestyle, and even stress all influence one another. That’s why every patient receives an individualized evaluation designed to understand not only where the pain is occurring, but why it’s happening in the first place.
My goal is always the same: identify the underlying cause whenever possible, restore healthier function, and help each patient achieve lasting improvement rather than temporary relief.
Faith-Centered Healing — God at the Center of This Practice
I believe, wholeheartedly, that God works through this office every single day.
As a Christian, my faith is not separate from my work — it’s woven into it.
I have seen healing take place that cannot be explained by technique alone. Moments where peace entered the room. Moments where pain lifted in ways that defy logic.
Sometimes, the healing didn’t come from anything I physically did — it came from God’s presence and perfect timing.
This office is a place of hope, compassion, and restoration. Everyone is welcome here. And every person is treated with dignity, respect, and care.
Practicing What I Preach: Our Family’s Wellness Journey
My family and I live the exact wellness-focused lifestyle that I recommend to my patients.
- Regular Chiropractic Care: My wife, Rachel, our two boys, Caden and Grayson, and I all get weekly chiropractic check-ups to ensure our nervous systems are functioning at 100%. Both of our boys were checked and adjusted on the first day of their lives and are some of the healthiest kids I know.
- Optimal Nutrition: Our family maintains a strict, healthy diet, avoiding sugar, processed carbs, and artificial sweeteners during the week. We believe in living a healthy life, but we also love our “cheat meals” on the weekends!
- An Active Lifestyle: I am a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and stay active by lifting weights and coaching my sons in sports. I strive to be a role model for them and the kids I coach, teaching them strong values and the importance of an active life.
My faith is also a cornerstone of my practice. I use my gift of Medical Intuition, which I consider a blessing from God, to help me get a deeper understanding of a patient’s health needs. This allows me to create truly customized treatment plans based on the body’s needs, not just on symptoms.
